Friday 3/4 Agenda


MATH
Goal: Today’s lesson is making and using ratio tables.

1. Introduction (5 minutes)
Warm-Up Question: Fill in the missing values on the table from the Story problem.
Key Vocabulary: equivalent ratios, ratio table
(Collect Homework)

2. Example 1 (5 minutes)
Completing Ratio Tables
  • This example identifies the method of finding the missing terms in a ratio table.
  • Work in pairs to answer On Your Own Questions 1 and 2.

3. Example 2 (10 minutes)
Making a Ratio Table
  • Use two methods to find equivalent ratios
  • Work independently to answer On Your Own Questions 3 and 4. Check your neighbor’s work.

4. Example 3 (10 minutes)
Using a Ratio Table
  • Work through parts (a) and (b) together as a class.
  • Work in pairs to answer On Your Own Question 5.

5. Example 4 (5 minutes)
Using a Ratio Table
  • Work example as a class.
  • Work in pairs to answer On Your Own Question 6.
6. Assess (10 minutes)
Complete the practice problems on p. 104 of the packet.
